My Favorite Season...

So I just got this month's "People Style Watch" and like the slaving fashion stalker that I am...I read it twice within the hour?
So it's mid summer and now we have to shop for not only Midsummer clothes...but Fall clothes as well. Personally, my favorite season is Fall, mainly because of the versatility of styles and ensembles you can put together. Not only is Fall my favorite season...it's also the season that I will be entering my first year of college.
WHAT? A place where no one will know who I am OR how I dress...UHM FASHION EXPERIMENTING HEAVEN! Ok, I'm not going to go out and wear neon green pants and a red lacy crop top but I can finally try things that I would've never tried in high school. High school was just... the cesspool of predominately like-minded people who donned similar outfits and looked down on the unfamiliar (aka those who actually could dress). Experimentation in high school was like eating a frog during a dissection... you just don't do it.
Now college, WOOAH BUDDY, nobody gives a [you know], so who cares what you wear.
Now me, I love lookbook.nu and I have select outfits that i luurve for the beginning of fall.
(here's a few:)

[I love the simplicity of the outfit and how the light rose pink jacket takes the look from
gothic to chic. The only thing i'd change is the shoes. I'm not much of a heel wearing person so i'd
just pair it with some black flats.]

[I just love this girl's style on lookbook and i especially love this outfit. Once again this outfit just
mixed a peacoat, shirt, jeans, and flats...and yet looks so put together. I feel its just the structure of
the jacket and jeans that make the rest of the outfit look chic.]

So basically, I'd say my style is taking basic pieces that are have a significant structure/design/print
that'll take my look a bit farther than just basic clothes. I love to be comfortable so definately
my trusty harem pants will be worn this fall...if you don't like it...who cares.

Yeah....I just burnt the pan trying to make grilled cheese...I suck.

Covert Affairs...

So I missed the actual viewing of Covert Affairs on tuesday but THANKFULLY it's replaying right now at 10 am :)
Photobucket
So, I love Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham. I remember Piper in Cheaper by the Dozen and now she's in this show? She's absolutely perfect for this role. She balances out a woman who's intelligent, sexy, and hilarious. Now Christopher Gorham (aka Henry from Ugly Betty) I think he's so cute. He's not the typical sexy guy but i think it's his intelligence and wittiness that makes him so Hot.
For those who don't know what Covert Affairs is about... it's about young CIA trainee, Annie, who's taken a month out of field training early to go into a mission(s) with blind Auggie as her guide throughout all her endeavors. SPOILER ALERT: The CIA is looking for her ex-bf...and she has to, too. Intense? It's one thing to have your ex-bf leave you in the middle of the night...but to find out that he's the enemy? (That really sucks.)
But I've always loved the idea of spies and I think this show is the ticket. I loved the Bourne novels and I think this is on its way to become a well thought out and intuitive show.
Can't wait.

Oh yeah, Favorite line of the episode: "You should probably drive." (When Auggie (Christopher Gorham) who's blind, asks Annie (Piper Perabo) out to a drink at a bar.)

Quote of the Day: "I have always loved the truth so passionately that I have often resorted to lying as a way of introducing it into the minds which were ignorant of its charms."

Interracial Relations...

SO WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?
Ok, I've got an black dad and a korean mom....my take on interracial relations would seem to lean more towards the (GO AHEAD) approach. WHICH they do.
I'm tired of seeing women (mainly black women), complain about all the other races of women taking the "good" men.
First off it's not like all the other races have a secret meeting and say "HEY LET'S TAKE ALL THE GOOD BLACK MEN?" ... yeah, I don't think so.

I have no problem with interracial dating, in fact...I think its beautiful. What's wrong with it? It's 2010 not 1945. The world is integrating more and more everyday, God didn't create us to ONLY marry people of our own "race." People of different color, race, build are beautiful, so why limit yourself to what is the same? I grew up all over the world so I've had a first hand glance at different types of beauty and people...and I love it.

Personally, I don't care what kind of man I date, he just has to have certain "internal" qualities that i appreciate. Speaking from experience, having parents of different races has had its ups and downs. Typically Blacks tend to glare at my mother (since she "stole" him right?). But I've come to realization that it's all jealousy. They're jealous...and that's ok. Maybe not for them because it just kills them to see that, but I don't mind.
I know I have much more "challenges" ahead of me, this is just a minor speed bump.

Going Natural...

I've been transitioning since December 2010 (approx. 8 months)...and I'm about to rip my hair out! The two texture are just so aggravating and I want to BC. But I don't have the mental capacity to have rock a TWA!!! I wish I did...but I do not.
I have 3c/4a/4b type hair and if I cut it now...it would be like 1 1/2 inches long (curly).

Should I do it?
